Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers is an Authorized Tudor Dealer

The Beginning of the Brand

Inside TUDOR

The TUDOR trademark was registered in February 1926 by the house of “Veuve de Philippe Hüther”, a watch dealer and craftsman. TUDOR was established in Geneva for Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf. After ten years, the house passed down the brand to Wilsdorf. At the end of the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf wanted to evolve the brand, to give it an identity truly its own. On March 6, 1946, he created “Montres TUDOR S.A.”, a marvel of design, with models crafted for both men and women. Rolex would guarantee the technical, aesthetic, and functional characteristics, along with the distribution and after-sales service.

"WE KEEP THE BEST OF THE PAST. THE BEST WATCHMAKING PRACTICES, THE BEST DESIGNS"

"For some years now, I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standard of dependability for which Rolex is famous. I decided to form a separate company, with the object of making and marketing this new watch. It is called the TUDOR watch company."

LADY GAGA

TUDOR AMBASSADOR

Lady Gaga is a global fashion icon. Naturally, she is particularly mindful of everything she wears. She has an intrinsic understanding that each outfit conveys a powerful message. An outfit worn on the red carpet can be an art performance in its own right, one in which each and every accessory is key to the statement. In keeping with this always bold attention to detail, Lady Gaga might wear more than one watch on her wrist. When she needs a watch that matches her bold tastes and groundbreaking style, she chooses the Black Bay 36. This automatic timepiece retains the general lines of the Black Bay collection while reducing its proportions, and remains both fashionable and sporty. Lady Gaga wears both the blue dial and the black dial versions of this model.

DAVID BECKHAM

TUDOR AMBASSADOR

David Beckham is a master of stamina. Endurance and durability are king in his world. That’s why he chooses to wear the Black Bay Chrono, a COSC-certified chronograph crafted with column-wheel manufacture caliber. This timepiece draws inspiration from TUDOR’s roots in diving and motorsports. The Black Bay Bronze is another Beckham favorite. It’s a 43-mm divers’ watch inspired by the brand’s long, proud history. It’s fitted with the TUDOR Manufacture Caliber MT5601.
