Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers announces partnership with the Charles E. Kubly Foundation

Milwaukee, WI (March 20, 2018) - Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers, a family-owned jewelry store based out of Whitefish Bay and Milwaukee since 1899, has just announced that they will be supporting the Charles E. Kubly Foundation as their “health” pillar of their new four-pillar philanthropy program. The four pillars are: Education, Arts, Community and Health – which Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers’ strongly believes that E.A.C.H. of us can make a difference by giving back and working together in our Milwaukee community. Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers is devoted to reducing the stigma of mental illness while supporting programs to help those affected by depression, which is why they chose to partner up with this fantastic foundation.

Founded in honor of Charles E. Kubly, the organization has dedicated itself to combating the illness and stigmas associated with depression, which is estimated to affect 15 million Americans and is the eleventh leading cause of death in the U.S.. The Charles E. Kubly Foundation aims to improve the lives of those suffering from depression but also within the communities by increasing public awareness, supporting suicide prevention programs, promoting access to quality mental health resources and eliminating the stigma associated with it.

ABOUT THE CHARLES E. KUBLY FOUNDATION:The Charles E. Kubly Foundation was formed to help others affected by depression so that they might achieve a better outcome. Depression can be deceiving; one may have all the trappings of a good life and yet be ill. It is important for people not to be ashamed of the disease. It is a disease like any other for which one should seek help. The Charles E. Kubly Foundation aims to raise awareness of the disease of depression, reduce the stigma associated with it and help people to access resources in their communities.
